These are the mind maps of my three potential ideas for the essay we have to write. I chose Animation, as this is the field I'm most interested in.
My choices are:
1) Animation & Sound Design
2) Animation & 3D Modelling
3) Animation: Production and Post-Production

The third one is my favourite, as I can also include details about Sound & Design.

Hey Sandy, okay - I can tell you straight away that these ideas are lacking a theoretical framework; here, you're talking about procedures and processes, as opposed to anything thematic or representational or ideas-based. It's not that these elements described above aren't interesting, it's just that they're descriptive of facts, as opposed to associating with 'ideas'. Take a look at Shannon's mind-maps, which are all focused on 'animation', but you will quickly see the difference in approach - in terms of your 2000 written assignment, you're going to need some kind of investigation, argument, or discussion of an issue/problem/theme - as opposed to describing a process... take a look and let me know if this difference is clear :)
